More Art offers semester-long internships to students in undergraduate or graduate programs, as well as to recent graduates.

Volunteer Positions

Director’s Assistant

3-4 full-time days. The position carries a small honorarium.
The duties of this role include:
• Coordinate and lead art programs in public schools
• Perform administrative duties
• Maintain and update the organization’s website, and social media
• Facilitate artists’ projects
• Help with marketing and promotional duties
• … and whatever else needs to be done!

Grant Writer

This is a paid position.
Candidate will work in collaboration with the Executive Director and assist in long- and short-term projects including fundraising, event planning, and corporate sponsorships. Will discuss projects with curators, research potential corporate, foundation, and individual supporters, draft text for grant proposals, coordinate grant schedules and materials, and help planning fundraising events of various nature. Great writing skills, organization, attention to detail, energy, enthusiasm, and motivation are crucial. 

Communication

Stipend depending on time and commitment.
Candidate will help create a press and marketing strategy for the organization, and will primarily focus on a major public art installations. Drafting, strategically circulating press-releases,  pitching stories to magazines, newspapers, and TV and radio stations. Will be responsible for emailing notices to listings notices, and general correspondence. The intern would also collaborate with More Art executive board and advisory board on conducting research on media outlets; maintaining the press database; archiving media coverage; assisting with visual documentation and image editing; website updates and blog posts, and social media; and assisting with the organization of public events. Great writing and communication skills are a must. Equally important are energy, motivation, self-direction, and enthusiasm. Desired skills (any of): Final Cut Pro, HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
