Artists | Nancy Drew
Working with this group of 12 year-old kids was a wonderful, reciprocal learning experience. What impressed me most, despite their age and urban surroundings, was the unspoiled innocence the kids still possessed, and their disarming ability to express that in their drawings.

2007 : Love Rocks
Nancy worked with painting. For a few sessions, the artist and the kids freely sketched and painted watercolors on the theme of love. The artist then prepared a large canvas (60” x 72”), and covered it with white glitter. The best sketches were scanned and then projected and transferred onto the canvas. The final composition is covered in black glitter creating a stark contrast with the white background. It is a final triumph of everyone’s concept of love.
Love Rocks was exhibited in the show "Fourteen Again" at the Chelsea Art Museum in 2010.
